Hey Girls! Now if you follow me on twitter (@Fashion_IOR), you will have seen that I mentioned doing a mega Boots haul the other week, I don't know what I've been doing all this time to be only posting this now, I seem to be getting distracted by all these blogger chats in the evenings! Anyway better late than never. This must be the one of the biggest shopping sprees I've done in Boots since going on holiday, but it was my first full time pay day for my placement year, so I thought I'd just go for it! Boots is one of my favourite places to shop in, I just love finding all the new products and trying them out, I'm literally like a kid in a candy store! I could spend hours at all the make up counters and poring over the shiny bottles of hair products and I think I get excited at the prospect of finding a new look. I can safely say I'm probably stocked up for a while, though I'm sure I'll see something new and sparkly soon and I'll be totting up the Advantage points once again!

L'Oreal Glam Bronze Duo Sun Powder in Brunette Harmony

L'oreal Glam Bronze Duo Sun Powder, Brunette Harmony, Bronzer Compact
L'Oreal Glam Bronze Duo Sun Powder in Brunette Harmony - £10.20
I thought it was about time I bought a new bronzer as I've had the same one that's lasted absolutely ages but I'm sure it needs throwing away by now! I chose this L'Oreal one as it has two blendable colours that give a more natural sun-kissed look which can also be built upon if desired.

Bronzer and Highlighter Shimmer Shades
The smaller pearlescent side can be used as a highlighter and the copper-coloured bronzer side has been specially formulated for brunettes to enhance their colouring and can be used to help contour the cheekbones.

Compact Mirror and Bronzer Brush
This Bronzer compact can also be flipped up to reveal a mirror and bronzer brush, very handy when out and about for quick touch-ups throughout the day!

Swatch of Glam Bronze Highlighter and Bronzer
The shades are very complimentry to my fair skin tone, many bronzers and powders tend to make me look orange but I like how I can mix the colours for a more natural look and build it up gradually to the shade I want. I might also try my hand at contouring my face a bit for some definition.

L'Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream  - Anti-Redness

L'Oreal CC Cream, L'Oreal Nude Magique, Colour Correcting Cream, Anti Redness
L'Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream Anti Redness - £9.99
This is the first time I have bought a CC cream, back in the day when BB creams had just come out, I thought they did wonders for my skin, but it looked like they ave bettered themselves here! Even though I have quite pale skin, I do have red undertones across my cheeks and chin and always wished I could just have flawless looking skin. So when I saw this product was tailored towards anti-redness, I just had to try it. The L'Oreal CC Creams also come in Anti Fatigue and Anti Dullness

This CC Cream is a pale mint green, and it's the green colouring that helps to neutralise red undertones in the skin. Not only is it colour correcting, it promises to give you perfectly even skin texture with a dewy glow.

The CC Cream contains smart pigments which work with your skin to transform into a foundation that blends with your skin tone to create complete coverage against redness but will  still look completely natural.

It blends perfectly and gives full coverage whilst still looking natural and weightless, any small imperfections will vanish and no more worries about red skin. I tried it last weekend and without saying I had used something new, my mum was amazed at how good it made my skin look and went and bought one herself! I'll have to post a before and after picture if I'm feeling brave about going bare faced to show you all!

My last mascara was on its' last legs so I decided to take this opportunity to buy a new one. I've seen this one advertised before so I thought I'd give it a go, I can't survive without mascara and I love having lovely looking lashes.

This mascara contains sculpting fibres that are virtually undetectable, but when applied to lashes, the formula helps to build up and mould without making lashes stiff and unnatural. The 4 Dimensional effect aims to make lashes volumised, lengthened, texturised and curved. I have worn this and fallen in love, again I have been complimented on how lovely my lashes look, so it must work! L'Oreal is currently on 3 for 2 on Boots so I had to take full advantage of this and I got the CC Cream for free!

I don't have enough variety in my nail polish collection for my liking, so I decided I needed to broaden my horizons and get some trendy colours! Again as L'Oreal make up is on 3 for 2 I of course had to buy 3 so I picked a pastel mint, coral and purple polish. These L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Polishes come in mini bottles, which I think is perfect when you want lots of different colours as you are more likely to use them up before the colours go out of trend.

These nail polishes have a gel formula to give a great even finish. I found the Wasabi Hit and Chic Pink had a glossy finish whereas Flashing Lilac had a matte finish, so I think it's great they have a collection that has a variety of textures and colours to suit your mood and outfit, I can't wait to try more!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Stellar and Luna

Rimmel Apocalips Stellar and Luna Swatches
I've heard a lot about these lip lacquers and I've wanted to try them since they went on sale. I decided to get Stellar and Luna so I could have a Lip Lacquer for both day and night looks. Unlike lip glosses, these are ultra pigmented and give a strong burst of colour in one application as well as being shiny. They actually do last a lot longer than normal lip glosses and stain your lips; they are also creamy and not sticky like conventional lip glosses - all in all a great product as I love having brightly coloured lips!

Max Factor Glossfinity Top Coat

Max Factor Glossfinity Top Coat Polish £5.99

Max Factor Glossfinity Top Coat Swatch

I haven't worn nail polish very often in the past because working in retail means they would be constantly chipping on the de-tagging machines and they would just end up looking unprofessional. Now on my buying placement, I feel I can paint my nails more often and they will look better for longer. I bought this Max Factor Glossfinity topcoat to not only keep my nails looking perfect but to also use as a base coat to avoid discolouring my nails by using brightly coloured varnishes. At first glance, It gives a wonderful glossy finish and I'm going to put it to the test soon to see how long it REALLY lasts.

Lipcote Lipstick Sealer

I love wearing bright and bold lipsticks and glosses but I absolutely hate when it completely wears off within a couple of hours or it goes patchy after eating or drinking. I've seen Lipcote advertised in magazines for years, so I thought I'd try it out. Lipcote aims to seal your lipstick and make it last longer, So I can't wait to put it to the test and see if it lives up to expectations.

Ecotools Bamboo Tapered Blush Brush

Ecotools Tapered Blush Brush £7.99
Ecotools Tapered Blush brush Close-up
I've been in desperate need of a new powder brush, the one I have currently been using is so old and the bristles just irritate my face. Surprisingly this was one of the cheapest brushes in my local Boots, I wasn't really keen on spending £8 on a brush, but when compared to other ones that were £20+ I didn't really have a choice so decided to buy it. I'm so glad I did though, this must be one of the softest brushes I have EVER used, It's really nice against my skin and adds powder really well, It even comes in a little storage pouch, so I guess it's worth it to buy decent brushes! This brand of brushes is also Eco friendly and are made out of sustainable and recycled products. I still think it will be a while before I invest in a full set of proper brushes due to the price tags of them and I'm happy to just have this one for now.

Garnier Moisture Match - Wake Me Up Revitalising Hydrating Gel

Garnier Moisture Match - Wake Me Up £5.99

Garnier Moisture Match - Wake Me Up Swatch
Recently Garnier have released a new set of moisturising creams and gels that are catered to different skin problems and types, in order to cater to the individual needs of these skin types. They are currently on offer in Boots for £3.99 (though I have recently seen them in Wilkinsons for £3).

I opted for Wake Me Up as my skin tends to look a bit dull and lifeless, so I have high hopes for this moisturising gel to give me dewy and healthy looking skin. There is also Goodbye Dry for dry skin, Start Afresh for normal/dry skin, Shine Be Gone for oily skin and Protect And Glow for normal skin - so there really is a moisturiser for everyone! The first thing I noticed about this moisturising gel was it smelt amazing - it's infused with citrus and floral extracts which also help to revitalise the look of your skin. The gel also has a pearlescent shimmer which immediately makes your skin look healthier! I've only quickly used this as I'm still using up my old moisturiser, so I can't wait to incorporate this into my routine and see the difference!

Boots Essentials Body Polisher

Boots body polisher
Boots Essentials Body Polisher - 89p
This was just a quick pick up as I haven't had one since moving house and using a body polisher makes your shower gel last so much longer and at 89p it's such great value.

VO5 Nourish Me Truly Shampoo and Conditioner

VO5 Hair Care, VO5 Nourish My Shine, Damaged Hair Products
VO5 Nourish Me Truly Shampoo And Conditioner - £3.99
I originally bought this set a couple of months ago for my holiday. Previously I had been using shampoos and conditioners specialised for coloured hair, but to be honest they weren't really doing anything for my hair and as I have really frizzy hair I use lot of heat styling, so it can end up looking a bit dry and unhealthy. So with 2 weeks in the Mexican sunshine, I thought I'd buy something that would deeply moisturise my hair and keep it looking healthy.

I have to say I love these! I have used a lot of different haircare products, included the John Frieda range and I think these are just as good, if not better. These are specialised for damaged and dry hair and are infused with Keratin and a 5 oil blend to repair hair, improve softness and manageability. I think these suit my hair type perfectly and my hair is so unbelievably soft, - especially when I use my Steam Pod afterwards, my hair must be the best looking it has ever been at the moment!

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Brunette

As I have quite thick hair I tend to only need to wash my hair a couple times a week, but every now and then it needs a bit of a boost. I love using dry shampoo as a quick fix when I don't have time to wash my hair, and this one is specially formulated for brunettes, the dry shampoo is tinted so it won't leave you with grey looking hair!

Boots Shine And Sheer Tights - Natural Tan

Boots Shine And Sheer Tights - Natural Tan
Even though I have been on holiday, you will never have guessed I am that pale, and my legs are always the hardest bit for me to tan, they just never seem to have any colour! So if I do have to bare my legs, I like to wear tights to give them a bit of colour - I love these tights as they are a natural colour and they make my legs look slightly tanned for once! The tights are very sheer, including over the toe, so I can get away with wearing summery sandals without it being obvious I'm actually wearing tights.

I hope you liked my mega Boots haul! :)  have you tried any of these products?

Amie xx
